MARJORIE (MARGE) ROWNTREE Marge has left to be with her maker on April 30, 2018. I was born in Winnipeg, the youngest child to Audrey and Harold Stephens. I am survived by my children, Rick (Sharon), Kathy (Braden), Rose Marie (Terry), Florence (Gilbert), Edward (Sharon), Darlene (Sam) and Alex (Lori); also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and my very many special foster children that walked through my life. I was predeceased by my soul mate Arthur in August of 2009 and son Rusty in September, 1979, my parents, and sisters, Edna and Elaine. I want to thank my family for always filling my life with so much love and happiness. Thank you to my friends and my church family for always being there for me. Life has been quite a ride at times, the road was not always smooth, it had a number of speed bumps along the way and it was quite incredible at times. I may have got stuck, but you were all there to push me along. Thank you, my love and hugs to you all. Our mother was a very loving, caring and generous person who always thought of others before herself. She will always be remembered for her uncomplaining ways despite her illness and her gift to us was her abundance of love. She will live in our hearts forever. A memorial service to celebrate Marge's life will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Grey Street United Church, 651 Sandhurst Avenue, Winnipeg. Please wear bright colours and no black! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grey Street United Church. seasonsfunerals.ca

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Our deepest condolences to all the Rowntree family members. I remember growing up with you all since I was about 10yrs old. Camping trips, picnics and sleepovers. I had great respect for both your parents. They will be missed and remembered. God bless. - Posted by: Jerry and Lynne Chabluk (Friends) on: May 12, 2018
