ANNE ELIZABETH MIDDLETON (SURMA)
Date of Passing: May 07, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE ELIZABETH MIDDLETON (nee SURMA) Peacefully, with her family by her side, Anne passed away at Health Sciences Centre on Monday, May 7, 2018. Anne will be lovingly and forever remembered by her daughter Gail and son Keith. She was the beloved matriarch of the Surma family overseeing her much loved nieces, nephews and their families - five generations in total. A very special everlasting, loving bond was held between Doreen and Dennis and their Aunty Anne. Anne was predeceased by Les, her cherished husband of 55 plus years, her parents, and her brother Joseph. Family was Anne's passion. She was a devoted wife, mother and aunt. She was proud to be a stay at home wife and mother and she was always available to be involved with her family and their activities. Anne could do anything with her hands. She was a very talented and accomplished seamstress, pattern designer, knitter, baker and cook extraordinaire. Anne and the family happily spent their summers at their cabin Stonehaven in Matlock. Anne loved to host summer BBQ's at the lake with Les. Many fond memories were created all summer long with family and friends - especially the annual turkey and corn roast on the old charcoal BBQ. Anne enjoyed travelling as well. Les drove the family on many trips throughout Canada from Vancouver Island to the Maritimes and the Northern United States. Anne and Les went on several Caribbean cruises and trips to Florida, as well as to their favourite destination Hawaii. A private family service has taken place. Our family would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre Emergency for their care and compassion during this difficult time and a very heartfelt, special thank you to all of our devoted cousins, especially Doreen, Rhonda and Nadine, for all of your love and support as always. Flowers are gratefully declined.
