ANNA SCHELL November 12, 1926 - May 14, 2018 Left to forever cherish her memory are her children: Anna (Larry), Fred (Egee), Linda, Erna (Gerry), Michael and Dennis. She will be greatly missed by her nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She will also be fondly remembered by her siblings, Mary, Katie, Rose and Michael. Mom was predeceased by our father Fred in 1979. Our mother was born in Baiersdorf, Romania, and arrived in Canada in 1950. Our parents farmed in Moosehorn from 1953 to 1974. They relocated to Winnipeg and after Dad's passing Mom worked at the Paddlewheel Restaurant. Mom's interests were baking, window shopping, dining at Sals, the Lawrence Welk Show and boy, could she dance! Mom travelled within Canada and beyond including Europe, Nunavut, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the United States. Oma will always be remembered as kind, generous, hardworking and above all loving. Special thanks to all the staff of Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, for their compassionate care of our beloved mom and grandma. The service for Anna will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home.
