Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM NORMAN (NORM) SMITH January 1929 - May 2018 Peacefully on the evening of May 9, 2018, Norm slipped away to join the rest of his family who had gone before him. He was predeceased by his wife, Ferne; their only son, Jim; his parents and his two sisters and their husbands, Eileen Edge (Jack) and Marg Barnfather (Putch). Left behind to cherish his memory is his daughter-in-law Joan. A private interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Many thanks to the staff of Kildonan Personal Care Home for their care of Norm over the past few years. Uncle Norm and Aunt Ferne have been an integral part of our lives forever. Norm's wonderful sense of humour and good nature was a delight. Whenever Ferne and Norm arrived on the Coast to visit Dad &Mom (Edna Stilling, Ferne's sister), we knew that there was going to be mischief afoot! I extend condolences to Joan on the loss of Norm. As a neighbour and fellow snooker player, I missed Norm when he left us here at Vasa Lund.
