Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY MARION WILLIAMS (nee NELSON) February 14, 1919 - May 13, 2018 In her own home on Mother's Day, Dorothy Williams of Winnipeg peacefully passed on to be reunited with the love of her life, Gordon, as well as her son, Gordon Jr. and her infant daughter, Jackie. Dorothy was born in Saskatoon and is preceded in death by her parents Petra and Nels, two brothers Fred and Theodore, two sisters Isabelle and Florence. Mom leaves behind her sister, Ruth Walker of Vernon, BC, her son, Lorne Williams (Catherine) of Oshawa, her daughter, Susan Hamel (Terie) of Oakbank and her daughter-in-law, Gayle Williams and her daughters of Dearborn, Michigan. Her grandchildren Lisa Blackadar (David), Oakbank; David Williams (Nancy), St. Marys; Kirsten Josephson (Steven), Gimli; Tannys Williams (Sergio), Toronto; Melanie Williams, Indianapolis; Bradley Williams (Alyssa), San Antonio; Amy Law (Brent), Brandon; and Jesse Hamel (Melissa), Winnipeg as well as her great-grandchildren Emmalee, Sarah, Mary, Max, Willow, Soren, Asra, Sofia, Ryden and Rhett, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom enjoyed a long and happy life. While fiercely independent, she was a truly remarkable and loving woman. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. Her family meant the world to her. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the paramedics and police service for all of their support. Many thanks to the staff from St. James Home Care Services for the exceptional assistance and kindness. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to D'Arcy's Arc Animal Rescue Center, The Salvation Army or a charity of your choice. As per mom's wishes, cremation has taken place.
