MONICA JOYCE LEV It is with sadness that the family of Monica announces her passing at the Charleswood Care Centre peacefully on May 14, 2018 at the age of 91. Monica was born on December 1, 1926 in London, England. She was the only daughter of Guy and Lily Maurice. During the Second World War she met Wenzel Lev who was serving overseas in England. They married January 9, 1946, and she moved to Winnipeg that summer. She was very proud of being a British war bride. She was a homemaker who loved doing things around the house and the garden. She adored her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved animals and pets and wanted St. Francis' name for her confirmation name. She was predeceased by her loving husband Wenzel and her son Richard. She will be dearly missed by her children, Paul (Sandra), Veronica Roscoe (Mike); grandchildren, Tracey, Christine, Brandie, Alanna and Melissa; great-grandchildren, Samuel, Zoe, Daniel and Victoria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated and Monica will be interred with Wenzel at St. Mary's Cemetery. Sincere thanks to the staff at Wing 3 of Charleswood Care Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or to a charity of ones choice.
