Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIRLEY ANN HAARSMA (CHEMERIKA) It is with deepest regret that we announce the sudden passing of Shirley on May 16, 2018 at Concordia Hospital. Shirley will be deeply missed by her son Ben (Christine) and three precious grand-children, Brooke, Ethan and Ashley. Also survived by her mother Margaret, brothers, Arnold (Bonnie), Dennis, Harvey, sister Kimberly (Angelo) and extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Douglas (2013) and father Mike Chemerika (2013). Shirley was born at home in Eden Manitoba and spent her childhood and school years in East Kildonan, Winnipeg until she married and moved to her home in North Kildonan. Shirley spent most of her working life at Safeway until her retirement in 2016. When Shirley wasn't spending time with her grandchildren she was baking or reading her cherished books. A Celebration of Life will take place at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Highway on Tuesday, May 22, at 2:00 pm. Flowers gratefully declined.
