DIANE VIOLET GARWOOD (WILL) (nee TIENHAARA) It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing Diane, on May 18, 2018, at the age of 67 years. Diane is survived by and will be deeply missed by her sons, Montie (Julie), Shayne (Allison); daughter Bree-Anne (Mike); grandkids, Kane, Raylee and Andrew. She is also survived by her brother Ron (Bev); sister- in-law Bev (Grant); nieces and nephews, Susan, Barry (Christie), Erin (Dave), Morgan (Jasmine), Michael (Aaron). She was predeceased by her husbands, Don Garwood and Jurgen Will; son Phillip Garwood; and parents, George and Vieno Tienhaara. Diane grew up on her parents farm in Conmee Township, just outside of Kekabeca Falls, Ontario. She graduated college in Thunder Bay, where she enjoyed many good times with the friends she had made there. After college, Diane went on to be a school teacher and married Don. They had three sons and a daughter, all born in Thunder Bay seven years apart. They packed up all four kids and a cat, and headed west to new adventures in Winnipeg, where Don and Diane bought a Sooters franchise and eventually their own independent photo company Heritage Studios. After selling the company, Diane moved onto a successful career in real estate. She had a big heart and cared about her family and friends, especially her grandkids who were always on her mind. She loved her mother role and loved to cook for her young family growing up and attending all of her kids sporting events. Celebration of Diane's life will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the West Kildonan Legion Branch #30, 1748 Main Street, in the Darlington Lounge, Winnipeg. Another Celebration of Life will also be held in Thunder Bay, July 1, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. seasonsfunerals.ca
