I am so saddened by the loss of Ellen. My condolences to her family and friends. I had the wonderful privilege of growing up with Ellen in our early years at Whytewold. Ellen visited me when I lived in Ottawa and filled my freezer with the best pirogies I had ever tasted. She wrote out the recipe for me which I still have. I never knew about her "Hello Dolly" bars. - does anyone have the recipe? Ellen will be missed for so many reasons. RIP cousin. - Posted by: Arlene Anton (Cousin) on: May 23, 2018

I’m shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Ellen’s passing. Ellen and I grew up together in Whytewold, then became roommates when we moved to the City. Ellen always wore a smile, one of the truly most genuine people I have ever known. My thoughts and prayers go out to her girls and family. - Posted by: Bonnie MacPherson (Childhood friend) on: May 23, 2018
