Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Dear Pastor Kruesel and family. Please accept our deepest sympathy in the loss of dear Millie. Thinking of when you first came to Holy Cross in Saskatoon, the good times and also the sad times which you and Millie where there for us and my parents was such a great comfort. Hoping that we, by our prayers for you Pastor, Tom, Tim and Paul, will bring some comfort to you. May the Lord Bless you always. From the Haatvedt family Edna, Lisa and Carole. Denny passed away just over a year ago from brain cancer. We feel your pain! - Posted by: Edna Matthews (Friend) on: May 31, 2018

  • Dear Pastor Kruesel and all your loved ones, We regret to say that we only learned today that Millie slept away already eight days ago and had a memorial service earlier this week. At the time we left Winnipeg in January, we were not even aware she was ill. So it seems that God kept the time of her decline very brief, for which we thank Him. She was a steady presence during the years we were members at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, and went out of her way ... pretty much on a weekly basis! ... to welcome us "newcomers" when we first arrived on the scene. We are glad for the joy she has now with Christ, and know that you will also be happy for her, even though the adjustment will be painful. God in His mercy carry you through these early weeks and months especially. And may He give us the grace to cling to Christ throughout our lives, as she did. We pray together with the ancients, "Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord; and may perpetual light shine upon her!" Sincere condolences and greetings from Windsor, Gail and Robert Bugbee - Posted by: Gail and Robert Bugbee (Former Parishioners) on: May 31, 2018

  • Pastor Kruesel. I remember the times when Millie and I would have a small chat. She always loved to watch the children grow it brought her great pleasure. We talked one time on the phone it was quite heartfelt and I loved to get the chance to encourage her. Now she rests in peace and we will chat again one day! You and your family mean a lot to me...I pray God's comfort for all of you. Love, Klaus & Penny - Posted by: Penny Kau (sister-in-Christ) on: May 28, 2018
