  • Lillian was a special person. Nothing could stop her. I was amazed to hear about her traveling to the Mayo Clinic by train and on her own as a young girl for an operation at the age of 12. The strength she showed then stayed with her for her whole life. Bert was at war when she gave birth and just like the other mothers she looked after the children and became a wonderful cook and there was nothing she couldn't sew. She was a speed skater in her teens and later on met a team mate, Anna who enjoyed life as much as she. Lillian was an avid curler and curled until an few years back. She also participated in aerobics until a few years ago. She was very active and had many friends at ANAVET. I think of her now being happy with her many pets, her son Glenn, and Bert and Anna and playing cards and laughing. I miss you lots.
