Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACK (JOHN) OLDFIELD May 26, 1932 - May 20, 2018 Jack passed away suddenly at the Victoria General Hospital, at the age of 85. He is survived by his children, Janice Dyck (Darrel Irwin), Jeff Oldfield (Linda) and Derek Oldfield (Maryann); grandchildren, Michael, Corey, Chantelle, Christopher and Nichole. Jack is also survived by his children's mother, Joanna Penton. He is predeceased by his parents, William and Muriel, his sister, Nina Fast, his second wife, Anita, and his beloved whippet, JoJo. Jack graduated as a chartered accountant in 1955. He loved a challenge, which resulted in a varied career, including his own accounting practice, V.P. Gordon Hotels, president and owner of the Sheraton Drake Hotel in Regina, president at Dawn Plastics, and franchisee of Sunsational Solariums. As per Jack's wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Gimli Humane Society. I just learned of Jacks passing and feel bad I never connected with him before his passing. I ran into jack where I work and we had a brief chat. He took me in at a bad time in my life and would liked to have thanked him for that. He too was disillusioned with life at this point which led to us bonding during that summer.
