WILLIAM (BILL) STEVEN HOLLINGSHEAD THE BIRDMAN February 13, 1951 - May 22, 2018 After a courageous battle with multiple illnesses, MS and cancer, Bill died at peace, with his sister at his side. Bill is survived by his sisters, Margaret and Shirley (Greg); brothers, Steven and John; nieces, Julia (Jason) and Alex (Joey); cousins, Doug (Diane) and Danny; the love of his life, Penny and many friends. He was a kind soul with an uncanny ability to touch people with his gentleness, patience and humour; fiercely loyal to his many friends. Bill enjoyed the simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, especially holiday get-togethers. His love for children was well known, with a special fondness for Katherine, Rebecca, Constantine and Jennifer. While you are up in Heaven, soaring with the angels, think of how much you meant to us all. Special thanks to the Riedel family, all Bill's friends at Kildonan Horizons and the staff on GD-4 at Health Sciences Centre. Respecting Bill's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
