MARGARET ELIZABETH SMITH (nee KENNEDY) The family of Margaret Elizabeth Smith (nee Kennedy) announces with great sadness her passing at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit on May 25, 2018. Born July 25, 1945 in Middlesbrough, England she came to Canada with her war bride mom Frances E. Kennedy (deceased) to reunite with father Raymond Kennedy (deceased). Margaret was a cherished wife to Irwin, a spectacular mom to Ken (Shelly) Smith, Christine (Ron) Siewert, and loving nana to Taylor and Dradon. Survived by sister Judy (Ray) Vasas, brother Robert (deceased), and proud auntie to nieces and nephew. Margaret was an avid reader and her hand stitched greeting cards were always in high demand. Sure to be missed by numerous friends in Headingley, Petersfield, and South Texas. A private ceremony has been held and Margaret will rest in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please support CancerCare Manitoba and Palliative Care services.
