Kathe was born on March 31, 1934 in Nürnberg, Germany. She immigrated to Canada in 1953 with her husband. Kathe worked very hard all her life and took pride in all that she did. Kathe had a fun-loving and adventurous spirit. She was a terrific homemaker and was very independent and resourceful until her final days. Kathe spent the last six months of her life at Jocelyn House Hospice. She loved her dinner outings for burgers and root beer and trips to the casino with nephew Marek, the day trips to nephew and godson Stefan's farm, and playing board games with her sister Hannelore. At Jocelyn House, Kathe made many new friends and came to be known for her playful sense of humour.
