Jan, so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I remember what a special lady she was from our childhood and high school days. Loved her English accent, her warmth whenever I was in your home and I always remember her telling us how she used to iron your socks when you were little so the wrinkles wouldn't hurt your feet. Praying for comfort for you and your family at this time. - Posted by: Sharon(Boehler)Gerrick (friend thru Jr and Sr High ) on: Jun 09, 2018

My deepest condolences to the family on behalf of myself and my sister Dorothy. While I personally did not know Joan well, she was my sister's neighbor for a number of years. I always enjoyed our little chats over the fence when I was visiting Dorothy and the care and kindness she showed to Dorothy (George). I especially thank you for calling Dorothy at the time of dealing with your own sorrow at the loss of your mother. That was so thoughtful! May the special memories of your mother/grandmother be a blessing to you during this time of grieving. - Posted by: Wendy McTavish (Sister of Dorothy Stoppel (neighbor and friend to Joan)) on: Jun 09, 2018
