DOROTHY SCARTH (nee WILLSON) September 6, 1916 - June 4, 2018 Dorothy's 101 year old spirit rose with the sunrise on Monday, June 4, 2018 in daughter Lorna's home, with granddaughter Jennifer by her side. Dorothy moved to The Pas, MB in January 2018, after 62 years in her home in East Kildonan with her husband Bob until he passed away on March 15, 2016. Dorothy is survived by daughters, Lorna Sanderson (Alex) and Isla Chartrand (Terry); grandchildren: Jennifer Sanderson (Mo) and children, Lenea and LilyAnn, James Sanderson (Pamela) and children, Ethan and Madison, Kandel Linklater (Vince) and daughter Alairah, Megan Wyatt (Jason) and son Brysen, Kyle Chartrand (Tanya) and Katie Chartrand (Keenan); sister Margaret Boyle and niece Peggy, sisters-in-law, Shirley Ryan, Shirley Scarth, Kay Wiebe and Margaret, brother-in-law Lyle Littlejohn, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a classroom and resource teacher for many years nurturing all who came through her door. She loved to travel with Bob and especially enjoyed family holidays in Clear Lake until her 99th year. The family would like to thank the River East Access Hospital Home Team, Care at Home Pharmacy and Accent Care for their exemplary service and care of Dorothy. A special note of thanks to Colleen Dougan with Accent Care for looking after Dorothy the past two months. Funeral service and reception will be held at Kildonan Community Church, 2373 Main St., Winnipeg, MB on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. A private family interment will follow. Donations in Dorothy's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society's Wheels of Hope (Manitoba) or the MS Society of Canada.
