BARBARA E. MCKENZIE On May 26, 2018, at her home in Winnipeg, Barbara Elizabeth McKenzie passed away. Barbara was born June 14, 1925 in Winnipeg, and with the exception of two years teaching with DND in Soest, Germany (1955 to 1957) lived in Winnipeg, where she was employed with the Winnipeg School Division #1 as a Primary School Teacher, Reading Clinician with the Child Guidance Clinic and Resource Teacher. After her retirement, Barbara was an active member of the Princess Elizabeth Guild, serving as President from 1992 to 1994, during which time the Guild was awarded the first YM-YWCA "Women of Distinction Award" (group). Barbara had many other interests which she enjoyed. On July 18, 1997, Barbara was married to Duncan A. McKenzie and together they spent many happy times with family and friends. Barbara was predeceased by her mother in 1992, and by her husband Duncan in 2005. By her request, there will be no funeral service.
