JEAN PAUL (JOHN) DESAUTELS June 26, 1926 - June 1, 2018 It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of a remarkable man, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother and Friend. After an incredibly brave and tenacious battle with cancer, JP passed away peacefully with family by his side. John is survived by his wife Rose of 67 years, son Paul (Pat), daughters, Carla and Michele, five grandsons, one great-grandson, three brothers and one sister. Dad was full of love, kindness and humour. A man of many accomplishments and adventures. We love you and will miss you more than words can ever say. Please join us in a celebration of JP's life at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. 1 East at Navin Rd. Sincere thank you to all the health care staff and professionals who took care of Dad. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his honour to CancerCare Manitoba or charity of your choice. I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. Al and I had many great times during our hotel years and beyond. We always looked forward to hotel convention week as it was such great fun. Traveling together with our dear friends John and Rose will always be memorable. He was a great man and will be missed. I will miss my brother Jean-Paul. I know him as a good husband to Rose, a role model as a father to Carla, Paul and Michele, as an entrepreneur with a good business acumen and as a generous brother. I felt his pain in last days of his life. My wife Constance and my daughter Lisa join me in sending our condolences to Rose and family. May the good Lord Bless you all. We are so sorry to hear about the passing of such a wonderful man, I truly enjoy the many years working for John and Rose at IDC hotel. He was a very caring and awesome boss, R.I.P. John.
