EDNA CATHERINE TRAFIAK (nee LAMBERT) It is with heavy hearts the family of Edna Trafiak announces her passing on Saturday, June 9, 2018. Edna was born on October 29, 1928, the eldest of 13 children, in the town of St. Laurent, MB. Edna is survived by her two sons: Doug; Ken/Fran; and grandchildren: Sherry Reeder (Jason); Kristen and Kurtis. She also leaves behind seven siblings: Dora Houlden (John); Yvette Smith (Bill); Louise Klyne (Raymond); Frieda Hunt (Gordie); Phyllis Arnfinson; Hector; Marcel (Rosalie); along with sisters-in-law: Helen, Stella and Diane Trafiak; Stella Galawan; Olga Shupenia; and brother-in-law Nelson Klyne; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Edna was predeceased by: her husband Mike; her parents, Christopher and Amanda; her sisters: Rita; Mildred; Flora and Shirley: along with several sisters and brothers-in-law. The family wishes to thank all those who came to visit Edna through her many hospital stays over the past year. She loved the visits, which broke up the monotony of her day, as she worked hard to become healthy enough to head home. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the following charities: Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Foundation.
