Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARCELLE VERONIKA BAGAN (née HALINSKY) June 12, 1926 - May 24, 2018 It is with no small sadness that we bid goodbye to the beautiful spirit of Marcelle Veronika Bagan, daughter and only child of Frank and Micheline Halinsky. Marcelle was predeceased in 1976 by Michael, her loving husband of 28 years, in 1990 by Fred Bodnarchuk, husband of seven years, and by her treasured friend and conversationalist, Gerard Remillard, in 2009. Among those who are sorely bidden to say goodbye are her loving sons, Kenneth (Kari), David (Dianne), John (Debbie), and daughter-in-law Dorothy. Marcelle also leaves behind a generation of cherished grandchildren, Andrea (Ryan), Michael, Theresa, Veronika, Robert (Kim), Michelle (Cameron), and Sean (Jennifer) and Kyle who, because they lived nearby, enjoyed the gift of her frequent company. Marcelle also had the rare and beautiful privilege of becoming a great-grandmother to Andrea's children, Devika and Logan; Robert's children, Jonathan, Joel, and Kate, and Michelle's children, Joshua and Jordan. In addition to her loving family, Marcelle leaves behind many dear friends at The Parkway Retirement Community. A bright and ambitious woman, Marcelle began her career by training as a registered nurse at the Misericordia Hospital in Winnipeg. She became the Director of Nursing for Ashern Hospital and later the Hospital Administrator for Ashern and Eriksdale, where she served as a capable leader and role model. Marcelle's family would like to acknowledge the kindness and care displayed by her dear friends Ray and Hope Chapman, and Donna Morris. The family offers special thanks to her aunt, Nellie Chorney, for keeping a watchful eye during Marcelle's final months. The family also extends thanks to the staff at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre and the Riverview Health Centre for their compassion and caring. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on June 20, 2018 in Mary, Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Street, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity you hold dear. INTEGRITY Cremation & Funeral Planning 204 295 5408 - IntegrityDeathCare.com

I have just learned of her passing, my condolences to Marcelle's family and prayers for Marcelle. I first met Marcelle when my fiance Dorothy introduced me to her father Fred Bodnarchuk and his wife Marcelle. I have always enjoyed her conversations and reminisces. I recognized her as a kind and thoughtful person. I will miss our annual Christmas calls to see how things were going and to update her on Dorothy's children Tara and Trevor. May you rest in peace. - Posted by: Michael Flynn (step son-inlaw (husband of Dorothy Bodnarchuk, who died in 1996)) on: Nov 24, 2018

In the all but too short time that we got to know Marcelle, we appreciated her relationship with Dad (Gerry). She was a delightful person and we are sure she will be missed by her family and friends. Being out of province, our thoughts will be with you on the 20th. Sincerely, Marc & Aline Rémillard - Posted by: Marc & Aline Remillard (Friends) on: Jun 16, 2018
