LENA SAWCHUK Peacefully, on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Park Manor Personal Care Home, Lena passed away with family by her side. Lovingly remembered by children, Darlene (Fred), Delores (Bob), Debbie (David), Bernie (Sandy), Carl and D'Arcy (Clem), 13 grandchildren and their spouses, 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Lena is predeceased by husband Alex Sawchuk, daughter Diane, sons-in-law, Alvin, and Gene as well as all her siblings. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, MB. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mom's memory to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or CancerCare Manitoba. The family wish to thank the staff at Park Manor Personal Care Home for their exceptional care and kindness. We extend our sincere condolences to the family members of Lena. We will always remember your Mother and Baba as a very kind and considerate person. She will always be remembered fondly. We always enjoyed seeing and talking to your Mother at the family events, that we were apart of, and if you know Lena's family, there were plenty of events to celebrate.
