FRANCES KULBABA (nee BESYK) 1929 - 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister, Frances, on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. She leaves to mourn her passing sister Jackie Dola (Wayne), brother Ryan Besyk (Bernice), their families, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Mike, parents, Nicholas and Jennie Besyk, sisters, Helen Besyk, Bernice Gooley, Joyce Scribny and Joan Gooley, sister-in-law Faye Besyk, brothers, Tom Besyk, Bert Besyk and Arnold Besyk, brothers-in-law, Wally Scribny and Mike Halischuk. She was born on October 12, 1929 and was the eldest of 10 children of Nicholas and Jennie Besyk. She attended Winnipeg Beach School in the early years and later moved to Winnipeg where she married the love of her life, Mike and owned and operated the Lydiatt General Store and Bulk Fuel Supply. Enjoying operating their own business they moved west to Vermillion, Alberta where they owned and operated the Flamingo Motel for many years until Mike's passing due to illness. At that time Frances moved to Selkirk where she made many friends while residing at Lions Manor. Special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at Health Sciences Centre for their caring and compassion. Funeral service will be held at Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St. in Selkirk, MB on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Peter Chorney officiating. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in West St. Paul. Pallbearers will be Brent Dola, Jason Gooley, Jared Dola, Kevin Ford, Brennan Dola and Tyler Samagalski. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances' memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.   • My Condolences to all the family. I met Frances while visiting her sister Bernice Gooley (Halischuk) when her sister was living Selkirk, MB. I am the niece to Mike Halischuk.
