MARGARET JOYCE CLARK (INSCH) It is with a tender heart that we announce the passing of our mother, Margaret Joyce Clark Insch. Born in Winnipeg October 19, 1943 she peacefully transitioned to Heaven's gate, surrounded by family, May 9, 2017 at Hawthorne Care Centre in Port Coquitlam, BC. Margaret, an only child of Katherine Petrasko and Alexander Insch both predeceased, grew up in her family home in Winnipeg Manitoba. The home was built lovingly by her grandparents when they immigrated to Winnipeg from Edinburgh, Scotland in 1911. Margaret leaves to cherish the beauty and teachings she brought to their lives her two beautiful children: daughter Debra Clark O'Neill and son Jeffrey Clark; and her beloved grandchildren, Brooklyn and Faith O'Neill, all whom reside in BC. In addition, she will be remembered fondly by her many loving dear friends, relatives, nieces and nephews throughout Manitoba, Alberta, BC, and former husband Roger Clark whom she loved to the end. Margaret worked for the Workers Compensation Board before being diagnosed with Early Onset Frontal Temporal Lobe Dementia in 2000 at age 57. In 2007 she transferred residency to Hawthorne Care home to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. We offer our deepest gratitude for the kind and loving care from all staff and volunteers at Hawthorne Care cottages and complex care over the last nine years. A special thank you for the heartfelt memorial service held by Hawthorne Care June, 2017. Margaret was a lover of life, known for her smile with her arms in the air, love of dancing, get-togethers, her garden, crystals and her spirituality. She was a lover of the sun, she enjoyed many moments with friends at her favourite spots: Grand Beach and Mexico. She was the loving host of our annual Christmas Eve get-togethers with Santa, family and friends. Her childhood and early adult life as a young mom unveiled her strength, perseverance and charisma. She shone bright with warmth in her heart for all that she met. To know her, was to love her.... Forever in our Hearts. Honorary memorial will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of her Life Garden Party. Details, memories and video tributes can be found online at Facebook - Margaret Clark (Insch) Memorial. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I knew Margaret from working with her at the WCB in Manitoba. She was a joy and a character. She was fun to be around and the words "love of life" fit her perfectly. I remember her talking about her children with such pride. I am sorry for your loss. She was a lovely soul. - Posted by: Maureen Malkowich (work friend) on: Jun 27, 2018

  • Many fond memories - as teenagers - sitting around Marge's dining room table playing canasta & eating Chinese food ordered from the old Shanghai. Marge was truly a courageous & clever survivor & a wonderful friend. My sincere condolences to her family. "I'll see you Later Chickee" - RIP. - Kay - Posted by: Kathleen Axtell (Friend & neighbour) on: Jun 27, 2018

  • My deepest condolences to the family. I have very fond memories of Margaret. I was a co-worker and a friend for almost 20 years. I will always remember Margaret as being so free-spirited and had such a love of life. Because of her I found out about concerts & festivals here in Winnipeg that I had never experienced before. One was the Huron Carol with Tom Jackson. I thoroughly enjoyed those concerts & continued going to them for many years afterwards. She also showed me great places to shop & restaurants that were her favorites to go to that I never knew about and to this day I still enjoy going to. I wouldn't have known about these experiences without her sharing her "love of life". She had a way with people with her infectious smile, laughter & her friendliness. I learned a lot through her about experiencing life to the fullest. She loved to cook, entertain & enjoyed going to Grand Beach. She had many friends. I was able to see her one last time at the Hawthorne Care Home in Port Coquitlam, B.C. where she was now because of her dementia. The way she held my hands & looked at me, I felt she knew who I was without any words being said. I told her who I was. She didn't want to let go of my hands and we walked around for a little while. I had to quietly slip away afterwards for fear she wouldn't want me to leave. I was so glad I was able to see her one more time. That was my last goodbye. I miss her so much. She was a very special person & will never be forgotten. - Posted by: Karen Gottwald (Friend & Co-Worker) on: Jun 25, 2018

  • Marge's smile was something that can never be forgotten and was so contagious. The number of water fights with my dad and all the laughs are too many to mention. Marge will always be in our hearts. Love Vickie - Posted by: Vickie Henke (Cousin) on: Jun 23, 2018
