Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERNA MAE TENCH (nee JEFFREY) May 4, 1919 - June 25, 2018 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother on June 25, 2018, at Tuxedo Villa Care Home, at the age of 99. She has gone to meet the great love of her life, her husband of 72 years, Murray, who predeceased her in 2012, as well as her son Keith. She leaves behind to mourn her daughter Violet, her son John, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff at Tuxedo Villa Care Home for the loving care they provided for mom in her final years. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Sorry to learn of Verna's passing. Verna and Murray were great neighbours to my family and me when we were growing up on Hampton St. They were always there to lend a hand or keep an eye on the house if we were away.
