ISABEL IRMA SOBEY 1924 - 2018 Peacefully on June 30, 2018, Isabel passed away at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 94. Isabel joined Dick on their 67th wedding anniversary as she was predeceased by her beloved husband, in July of 2000. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Dick (Adele), daughter Eleanor (Keith), grandchildren, Melissa (Scott), Amanda, Ashley (Ryan) and Kyle (Ashley), great-grandchildren, Bryden and Kane, sister-in-law Anne Bench and many nieces and nephews. Isabel was the matriarch of her family, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a dear friend. She loved bowling, family dinners, the lake and a good game of crib. The family would like to thank the staff at Misercordia Health Centre for their wonderful care and to Riverview for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice in Isabel's name. A celebration of Isabel's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Saddened to hear of your loss, and wishing to express sincere condolences to you all. Isabel's broad smile, friendly wave and invitation to come over and sit on the swinging porch bench, to share stories of experiences since our last visit, will always be a cherished memory of the relaxed lifestyle shared between good neighbors at the lake. Thoughts and prayers are with you. Tony, Josh & Sarah and Amanda Fast. - Posted by: Tony Fast (White Lake Neighbour) on: Jul 08, 2018

  • We were saddened to learn of Isabel's passing. She was a ball of energy, kind, caring and thoughtful. We always looked forward to seeing her sweet smile & warm embrace when she would visit from our neighbouring yards at White Lake. I think when Andrew was a youngster he spent more time on your back porch visiting your parents than in our yard. He learned his ins and outs of crib from your mom. Our thoughts are with you at this time and in days ahead. Take good care. Donnarae Thompson. Andrew, Sean & Brady Stevenson. - Posted by: Donnarae Thompson (White Lake Neighbours ) on: Jul 04, 2018
