Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHEN THOMPSON (STEVE EINARSSON) Stephen Thompson, age 62, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg, MB. He was born August 21, 1955, in Little Saskatchewan First Nation to Kathleen and Pete. Steve (Tib-tib) grew up in Dauphin River First Nation. Growing up he loved to set snares and traps. He loved to cut wood with a hand saw and haul wood in. He was always a hardworking, responsible child. He loved to ride the family horse named "George" for hours pretending to be a cowboy. Steve attended school in Dauphin River, eventually graduating from Grade 12 in Teulon, MB. Steve had a lot of friends and frequently made visits to see if anybody needed anything fixed. He knew how to fix small engines and was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed hunting and carpentry and was also a commercial fisherman. Steve would entertain his friends by impersonating George Jones, Elvis, Marty Robbins, and many other of his favourite singers. He loved to play guitar and sing. He was self taught. Steve was predeceased by his mother Kathleen, father Pete, brothers, Henry, Stanley, Barney and Clifford, his sister Shirley, as well as numerous aunts and uncles. Steve is survived by his six children, Byron, Matthew, Steven, Nelson, Tamara and Leona, his sisters, Harriet and Nora, and numerous grandchildren. Steve will be sadly missed by his children, family, friends, and everyone who knew him. Celebration of Life will be held at Chief Cornerstone Church, 384 Talbot Avenue, in Winnipeg, MB from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with a luncheon to follow. Aboriginal Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
