Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH AGIUS October 7, 1948 - July 3, 2018 Beloved husband of Victoria Agius, passed away after his battle with cancer, at Seven Oaks Hospital, surrounded by his family on July 3, 2018. Joseph is survived by his wife Vicky, son Kevin; granddaughter Taylor; daughter Jacqueline and son-in-law Preet; his sisters, Jolena, Mary, and Theres; as well as many cousins, in-laws, nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his mother, father and brother Victor. Joseph was born in Malta and immigrated with his wife to Winnipeg, MB in 1971. He opened up his own business and had a successful painting career for over 30 years. His favourite pastime was trap shooting which he enjoyed at the Winnipeg Trap and Skeet Club. He introduced the sport to his son Kevin and son-in-law Preet so it became a family pastime. When the topic came up, you could see how happy it made him. Aside from that, he also adored his beloved dog Genie and doted on her by taking her for walks two to three times a day and spoiling her like a queen. Joseph worked hard for his family, a quiet man with a big heart. He will be missed dearly. For information regarding funeral services, please contact Jackie via email jackied6@gmail.com. My childhood memories are coloured by Uncle Joe's comforting smile and undeniably great heart. In the snapshots I play through my mind, I'll always remember him as a generous soul. Indeed, I will never forget the souvenirs he bought my brother and I as we were checking-in at the airport to leave Canada for good on 1979. It was a traumatic time and I have treasured that thoughtful gift ever since. I also admired his skill at winning so many plush toys for Jackie and Kevin at the Red River Ex and other places. These acts of kindness show what Uncle Joe was: a family man who loved his wife Vickie and my cousins, genuinely dedicating his entire life to enriching their lives and relationships. May his family find solace in knowing that he couldn't have been a more caring husband, father, and grandfather. - Posted by: Mandy Garzia (Niece) on: Jul 10, 2018

We are so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. Joe was such an easy-going fellow. He painted in our home on numerous occasions and for our businesses. Joe was always so professional in every aspect. A very trustworthy man with strong integrity. I have yet to find a painter with such an eye for detail. My father enjoyed having coffee with Joe when Joe would paint for him. They loved to talk about trap shooting. Two peas in a pod when it came to that topic. Please accept our most sincere condolences. - Posted by: Glennis Wittenberg (Neighbor) on: Jul 10, 2018
