EMILY LILY NIEBEL On Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre, Emily Niebel, aged 84 years of Selkirk, MB, passed away. Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, Selkirk, MB. Full obituary to follow in Saturday's paper. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.

  • Aunt Emily was a gentle and caring person. You were always welcome to visit her. She made you feel that you were important and you were part of her larger family. I can remember spending summers on her farm and the fun I had there. There was always work to do but Emily found the time to have fun. When she met me she always had a smile on her face for me. She worked very hard all her life and always put the needs of others before her own. I will miss her very much. At last she can now rest in peace in the arms of God. I feel blessed to have known her.
