Many years ago, I worked with Elvy at Kay’s Wholesale. She was so patient with me as I learned about the office side of the business. She had such an impact on my life, I learned so much from her about faith, marriage, family, work ethic and was amazed by her energy & vitality! I am truly blessed to have known her and have so loved her & Ray & the family! I am so sad to know she is gone from this earth but Heaven has received a spitfire & an incredible soul! - Posted by: Coleen Lint (friend) on: Aug 17, 2018

Life story.... Ray and Elvy were there for me when I needed their compassion and friendship. I hope I returned their love and friendship by doing what I do best. Repairing, installing cable for tv in the back room and helping Ray with his laptop many times. He finally gave up on it and gave it to me; I'm still using it. Ray and Elvy treated me with 🎄 dinners, the 🎄 tree at the church many times. Even I attended their bible studies with Ray leading them. We even went caroling around Sandham Crescent at 🎄 time. Fun for sure with Elvy encouraging the whole thing. They were there when I had an operation, brought me lunch. She made the cake. When my turn came I treated them with picking them up and we had lunch at Assiniboine Park. Then a walk in the English Gardens. Every time spent with the both of them was pretty special. Elvy would get upset when I was teaching her the tablet. She tried but I realized her passion was knitting and quilting especially creating baby hats for new born. She liked my rain water for her plants. I kept her supplied. I loved watching them both work together in the kitchen preparing large amounts of food, her specialties for supper and some days lunch with them. Just to help out I had picked up A&W hamburgers for lunch occasionally because Ray loves onions and Elvy loves hamburgers. She has a smile, very addictive, always made me feel good. They spent time with me knowing I was alone, sure appreciated them. David Wood - Posted by: David Wood (Friend) on: Aug 14, 2018
