Emily is survived by her husband of 61 years, Gerald; daughter Juliette; sons, Douglas (Lizz), Larry (Stacey), Ronald; and grandchildren, Luke, Stephanie, Jake, Travis and Kalvin; great-grandchild Kaiden; and sisters, Josephine and Verna. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Maria; sisters, Agnes, Helen and Annie; and brothers, Joe and Stanley. Emily was born in Dugald, MB. The family moved to Mayfield where they farmed and raised their children. As a young woman, Emily moved to Selkirk where she worked at the Monarch Sewing Factory, and later at the Coca Cola Plant. After Emily and Gerald married, they started farming in Clandeboye, where they raised their family until they retired in 1995, and moved to Selkirk in 2017. Emily loved having company, conversations and a good laugh. Emily was known as a loving, kind-hearted, generous, down-to-earth, open and honest, humble person, and a favourite aunty of her many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 20 at 1:00 p.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, in Selkirk, MB, with Father Stan Gacek officiating. A viewing will be held prior to the Mass.
