LUCILLE ELIZABETH BRUCE (née ROSJER) 1930 - 2018 Peacefully on Thursday, July 12, 2018, Lucille passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital with family by her side. Mom was predeceased by our father Hector, her parents, Martin and Susan Rosjer, her brothers, Edward and Robert Rosjer and sister Leona Swann. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Barbara (Garry), Beverley (Terry) and Sharon (Dwight), grandchildren: Michael (Barb), Craig and Derrick (Erin), and great-grandchildren: Bryce, Leiah, Madison, Jayna, Mara and Davin. She also leaves her brother Joseph (Isabella and daughter Susan), dearest friend Helen Penner, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born in Winnipeg and raised in Inwood, Manitoba where she met our father. They married in 1954, and settled and raised their family in Winnipeg. Family was precious to our mom and she was able to spend a lot of time with us over the years having many adventures. Mom loved to travel and enjoyed the time spent at Lake Winnipeg with Dad and the family. Mom was widowed young and she remained strong for everyone. She taught us many valuable lessons including the importance of family, and resilience when life presented challenges. We are so fortunate to have had her in our lives. We would like to thank Helen Penner for her enduring and caring friendship for over 60 years. Thank you to WFPS, the staff at St. Boniface Hospital Emergency and E6 for their compassionate and professional care. We would also like to acknowledge the care provided by Dr. Salter-Oliver and Dr. Rabson, both of whom Mom thought so highly of. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Saint Vital Parish Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway. A private interment will take place at Assumption Cemetery. Barbara, Beverley, Sharon and family, Thinking of you in your time of sorrow with deepest sympathy.
