GORDON OLE BUSCH April 5, 1937 - July 14, 2018 It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, Giga, and great-Giga on July 14, 2018. Gordon will be lovingly missed by Mary, his wife of 50 years. Left to treasure his memories are his daughters: Sylvia (Bob) Bastable and families; Karen (Ron) Warcimaga and grandchildren, Kendall (Chad) Krut and Kyle (Chelsey) Warcimaga; great-grandchildren, Davis, Carys and Dexter Krut, and Taylor and Emmeline Warcimaga; his sister Linda Fecek, and many nieces, nephews, close relatives and cherished friends. Gordon was born in Camper, Manitoba. He had an incredible work ethic and ability for helping others. He was very proud of operating Gimli Feed Service for 32 years. In addition to serving his customers, he made many lifelong friends. Gordon enjoyed a busy retirement, which included volunteer driving. He was affectionately known as "MapQuest" because he would drive you anywhere at any time. Gordon enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He was very proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and all of their achievements. His car was the first one in the parking lot at every event. The family thanks the EMS responders, the staff at St. Boniface ICU, and Dr. Zoppa and the staff at Selkirk Regional Health Centre, who provided heartfelt care and compassion throughout his stay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gordon's memory to the Interlake-Eastern Health Foundation for the SRHC by mail to the Selkirk Regional Health Centre, PO Box 5000, 120 Easton Drive, Selkirk, MB R1A 2M2 or online at www.iehf.ca, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 1379 Kenaston Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R3P 0Y4. Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • My condolences to the family. The Busch family in Camper used to run the general store an P.O. off Hwy. 6. They also donated part of their land to build the Dog Lake school house/Church. Rest in peace Mr. Busch. The Drylick Family - Posted by: Robin Drylick (Family Friend) on: Aug 06, 2018

  • Aunty Mary, Sylvia & Bob, Karen & Ron, and families We will never forget his gentle smile; his funny stories where he laughed as hard, if not harder than his listeners; his way of making friends with the people he met, always pleased if he discovered that they shared a mutual acquaintance; his kindness and willingness to help others. I remember his visits to the farm when I was a child, how he often walked the four miles from town; how my mom never failed to bake him a chocolate cake and give him the bowl to lick afterwards (telling my siblings and I not to complain cause we got the bowl all the time and he didn’t); how he remained cheerful and happy no matter the circumstances. Rest In Peace, Dear Uncle. Love, Gail & Phil - Posted by: Gail Piper (Niece) on: Jul 21, 2018
