BRENDA DENISE MURRAY Brenda "Denise" Murray was called home to God with her family by her side on Friday, July 13, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 6, 1951 in Winnipeg to Thomas and Ilene Ford. Denise or Mom to all who knew her was a unique, "stubborn" and strong individual who touched the lives of so many. She married George E. Murray in 1971. They began their family in Fort Garry and set their roots in East Kildonan in 1985, where she was a permanent fixture in the community. Always volunteering in the schools or taking part in the hockey community. Mom always had the door open and coffee was brewing, she had not only four children but many adopted ones. She was always baking, playing bingo, watching her sports, curling, knitting, sewing and so much more. She was predeceased by Thomas and Ilene Ford. She is survived by husband George, children: Scott (Susanne), Brent (Tanya), Troy (Jessica) and Shari (Kyle). Her memory will forever live on in her grandchildren: Cody, Kara, Korra, Koltyn, Sadie, Madison, Karson and Morgan; sister Lynne, a clanful of nephews, nieces, family picked friends and her fur baby Hershey. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Avenue. Interment to follow at St. Boniface Cemetery, 917 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Denise can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
