ANTONI (TONY) HEPPNER Antoni (Tony) Heppner passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the Riverview Health Centre. Tony was born on April 22, 1940, in Poland, and arrived in Winnipeg with his parents and sister Maria, in 1952. He leaves behind his loving nieces, Monique (Marc Delannoy) and Mireille (Bryan Allen); his brother-in-law Jean (Armande Leclair); and great-nephews, Trevor, Luc, Gabriel, Clément, Julien; and great-niece Julie; cousins, Barbara and Malgorzata, in Ottawa, as well as cousins in Poland. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Franciszek (Frank) Heppner and Waleria Sredzinska, and his beloved sister Maria. The family is grateful for the friendship and care given to Tony in the past years by the staff on Home Street, Rev. Elaine Pinto and Marnie Chivers, the community of St. Margaret's Anglican Church and finally the staff of Riverview Health Centre. Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3 at St. Margaret's Anglican, 160 Ethelbert Street. Interment to follow at the Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
