Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR ROY THORSTEINSON October 19, 1956 - July 23, 2018 Due to a horrific fire, we have said goodbye to "Roy". A very gentle, easy to love man with a kind heart and a big smile (and yes dear, lovely teeth). A good portion of Roy's life was a hard fought battle which he did without complaint. Roy was predeceased by parents, Thor and Bara Thorsteinson and older brother Barry. Roy is survived, and will be missed, by sister Barb Johnson and families of his nephews, Jay, Barry, Donnie, Stacy Johnson, Stefan Thorsteinson and niece Beth Balsillie. The families wish to thank SMD and Manitoba Hydro (Chevrier) for the support and kindness extended to Roy, and gratitude to the wonderful crew at HSC - SICU. Though I didn't know Roy very well, I remember those " Hi, how are you this morning" in crossing paths in the hallway going to our work stations, and the pleasant conversations we had walking to our cars at the end of our work day. I am so sad to hear of Roy's passing. I worked with Roy for many years at Manitoba Hydro and he was always a pleasure to be around.
