Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT HORNER September 7, 1936 - July 29, 2018 Peacefully with his family by his side, Bob Horner, aged 81 years of Sandy Hook, MB, passed on Sunday, July 29, 2018. Left to cherish Bob's memory is his wife of 56 years, Roberta, his children, Doug (Sharon) and Tannis (Dennis), his grandchildren, Dayna (Cody), Deanna (Jaryt), Tanner, Kristin (Chris) and Kody (Kelsey), great-grandchildren, Skye, Van, Annie and Royal, and his two nieces, Gail (Cliff) and family and Carol (Ray) and family. Bob was predeceased by his father Edward, mother Rose and stepfather Al Farnell, sister Janet and brother-in-law Len Collins. Bob was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. In 1961, Bob met Roberta and they were married the following year. Bob worked for Robinson Little for 30 years. He and Roberta retired to Sandyhook, MB in 1999. He was a member of the Gimli New Horizons where he enjoyed floor curling and cribbage with the many friends he made there over the years. He especially enjoyed his time volunteering for several organizations in the community. The time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was always the highlight of any day. The family would like to thank the staff of the Gimli Community Health Centre for all their care and compassion during his stay there. Celebration of Life will be held at the Gimli Lutheran Church on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gimli Health Auxiliary, CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice. Though your days with us have passed, And our hearts are aching now, We know you've found true rest at last.
