PATRICK BRIAN COLLINS March 14, 1947 - July 28, 2018 Suddenly the morning of July 28, Pat left us. Patrick is predeceased by his parents, Wilfrid and Helen, as well as his sister Shauna. He is survived by his wife of over 35 years, Hélène Dusablon, children, Julio (Jennifer), Devlin, Emmet (Erin) and grandchildren, Didier, Gabriel, McKenzie, Cameron and Evelyn. Pat was a dear husband, father, grandad, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and, mostly, a friend. All his life, he was interested in everything and took genuine delight in meeting new people and learning new things. He had no patience for the ignorant or selfish, but as long as you weren't in those categories, you'd find a sympathetic ear and terrific conversation. The world is categorically poorer for his loss. He considered himself very fortunate and would have wanted to be remembered that way. Anyone seeking to honour his memory should raise a glass in his name. He'd surely have joined you. A memorial will be held Tuesday, August 7 at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery).
