DOREEN ETHEL HLADY (nee MCFARLANE) 1929 - 2018 Peacefully, at Maples Personal Care Home, Doreen passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. She will be lovingly remembered by daughter Leslie (Jim) Urbanski, granddaughter Christine, great-granddaughters, Lauren and Jenna, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Doreen was predeceased by the love of her life, Donald, parents, Bill and Ethel, and her sister Marlene. Doreen was a member of the Fort Garry Chapter of the Eastern Star for many years, and a member of the White Shrine. She worked at Hudson's Bay, Winnipeg Free Press, and Hi Way Cleaners. Doreen loved to read books and watch old movies. Being an avid reader, she could read two books in a day. Family would like to thank the staff at Maples Personal Care Home for their care and compassion for Mom. Donations may be made in Doreen's memory to a charity of one's choice.
