HUGH ALEXANDER MILNE May 29, 1932 - August 8, 2018 Hugh leaves to mourn six children and their families: four daughters, Cheryle Brown, Barbara (Garry) Pichlyk, Karen (Terry) Ammeter and Charlene Wintink; two sons, Robert and Kevin (Roberta), as well as 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Hugh was born May 29, 1932 to Isabel and Alexander Milne at Hargrave, Manitoba. He is survived by one brother, Grant (Linda) as well as several in-laws, nieces and nephews. Hugh was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Shirley (nee Feakes) of Plum Coulee, Manitoba; his parents, Isabel and Alexander Milne, two brothers, Glen and Brian, one sister, Fern; his in-laws, Agnes and George Feakes, six sisters-in-law, eight brothers-in-law, and one son-in-law, Michael Brown. Hugh enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much especially at the large family dinners we would have four times a year. He was a wonderful family man. Nothing made Hugh happier than being out in the country, especially when his help was needed during harvest or haying. He would grin from ear to ear sitting atop a tractor, large or small, or driving a big truck hauling grain or hay. He loved to fish and deer hunt with his friends and brothers. He also enjoyed golf which he only took up later in life. He was a member of the Imperial Legion No. 84 where he enjoyed playing VLT's, playing cards and spending time with the many friends he and his wife Shirley met there over the years. In more recent years he enjoyed frequenting the Assiniboine Hotel AKA the "BIG A". He was currently residing at the Boulton Retirement Community where he made many friends. Hugh will be lovingly remembered and missed dearly by his family and friends. We would like to express our gratitude to the awesome staff at the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion. • Dear Hughi and family, We think of the memories at Starbuck. You were always so willing to help on the farm if it was harrowing you were there and sometimes even took your holidays at the right time, so much appreciated. We have good memories of your family at Starbuck and its always nice to meet some of them here and there. Vic and Alvena Dyck - Posted by: Vic and Alvena Dyck (neighbors) on: Aug 13, 2018
