CONSTANCE HEAPS April 7, 1925 - August 11, 2018 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, Constance Lillian Heaps, on August 11, 2018, at the age of 93. Her memory will be cherished by her three daughters, Patricia Honey (Morris), Carol Longacre (Casey) and Joanne Stevens (Carl); her grandchildren, Leanne Calvin (Gary), Laurie Lammiman (Rob), Jennifer Turner (Lauri Beaton), Michael Unraw (Reuben Naveau); her six great-grandchildren, and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Marion Hall; husband William Heaps; grandson Dwayne Moonah; brother Allan Hall; and her sister Marion Lindsay. Connie was born in Saint John, NB on April 7, 1925. She lovingly raised her three girls in Winnipeg, MB, where she ran the Pizza Place Commissary with conscientiousness and humour for 26 years. She had a strong, loving, caring and creative spirit. Connie and her Facebook stories will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations can be made to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund) or the Canadian Wildlife Federation. A private family Celebration of Life will be held in the upcoming weeks. For online condolences or to light a memorial candle please log onto www.mosaicfunerals.ca

We would like to convey our sincerest condolences to Patricia, Carol and Joanne and their partners and extended family. We found a definition of inner strength that we believe describes Connie: Inner Strength is the fortitude to carry on when things aren't going your way. One step in front of the other, taking detours and changing direction when life demands it, but always plodding on towards something, and getting on with the here-and-now. Over the years, we've enjoyed reading Connie's poems and stories of her life and will miss her wonderful sense of humour. As well, we'll miss her play-by-play and reviews of the her favourite sports teams, the Winnipeg Jets and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. - Posted by: Blair and Candy Heaps (Nephew) on: Aug 20, 2018
