JOYCE ALMDAL 1927 - 2018 After a lengthy struggle with dementia, our dear, fun loving mom, Joyce, slipped peacefully away on Monday, August 13, 2018, to be reunited with our dad, James Almdal. My mom wanted me to send the family a message saying she has many fond memories of travelling down to Arizona over the winter months with John and your mom and dad. She often reminices about shopping with Joyce, and sharing many laughs during those years. Mom tells a story about how your dad would always pop over in the morning for coffee at the lake, saying, "The Bear is still sleeping", and he was referring to your mom. As a child growing up I never got to know your mom, but as an adult I was able to get to know her by having a few visits at the lake, over the years, and visiting while in Arizona. I could tell she had a good sense of humor, and an infectious laugh. May your dear mom remain in your hearts for ever.
