Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS ANSLEY TARALA (nee PENHALL) It is with heartfelt sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of our much loved Aunt and dear friend into God's arms on July 28, 2018. Gladys was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward; her parents, Dorothy and Sydney Penhall; her brothers, Sidney, Douglas, and Leslie; her sister Ivy; and her very dear nephew Ken. She is remembered by her treasured nieces and nephews, Wayne (Chris), Merritt (Kathy), Gale (Max), Judy, Debbie (Robert), Cory-Lynn, Kim (Garth), Jody, Edward (Trisha), Keith (Kathy), and Benjamin. She is also remembered by her husband's niece and nephews, Kimberley, Robert and Richard; brother-in-law Don (Carol); sisters-in-law, Mary, Audrey, and Betty; as well as many great-nieces and nephews, her cousins in England, and her very special friend Glen. Gladys was born in Mulvihill, and moved to Winnipeg at the age of 15. She married her beloved husband Edward in 1952 and they spent many wonderful years travelling and enjoying life together. Gladys worked for Eaton's and subsequently the Provincial Government over 43 years. She valued being a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and St. Mary's United Church. Her many friends, and playing bridge, gave her much pleasure, as did any social occasion - especially with her family, who were so important to her. The family would like to thank the wonderful caring staff and volunteers at the Victoria General Hospital, Home Care, the Canoe Club staff, and Chapel Lawn for all their kindness and support. A special hug and thanks to Judy - Gladys' Angel. In lieu of flowers, Gladys would appreciate a donation to a charity of your choice as a remembrance. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 21, 2018 at St. Mary's Road United Church, 613 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg.
