DOROTHY IRENE DEARMAN (nee MCNICOLL) April 22, 1924 - August 15, 2018 Dorothy was born to parents, Catherine and Edward McNicholl in Darlingford, MB. She is the last survivor of eight siblings (seven brothers, one sister), and their spouses. Dorothy became a school teacher, where she met Joseph Dearman while teaching at Emesville School in West St. Paul. They were married in 1947 and had four children, Wayne, Ray, Guy (Cathy) Dearman and Joan (Richard) Walker. Once Guy started school, Dorothy went back to teaching at the Manitoba Home for Girls, where she remained until she retired. Our mom was the most fantastic grandmother to Robyn (Brad), Kirk (Danielle), Terri (Adam), Richard, Michael (Riana) and Ashleigh (Jordan). She had many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was an amazing cook; the neighbourhood showed up Saturday mornings for homemade yeast donuts, pies, cakes, etc. She had a half acre garden, so there was lots of canning in the fall. She also knitted and crocheted for all her children and grandchildren. As she got older she was so excited to have nine great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Darian, Taryn, Hunter, Henry, Piper, Tanner, Carter, Benson and Bowen. Joe (Dad) passed away in 2003 and because of health issues, Mom moved to Amber Meadows, then to daughter Joan and son-in-law Richard Walker's home, and then eventually moved to Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. We would so like to thank the staff of Middlechurch Home, you all treated her like family and she loved each and every one of you. We would also to thank Dr. Saunders for his patience and kindness towards Mom. "Mom you were the greatest, always there for us, we will love and miss you forever!" As per Dorothy's wishes, there will be no service. There will be a family and friends get together at a later date.
