Sandra was a stellar advocate for environmental health in Canada. Her work improved the quality of life of many people. She attended to the work with professionalism and a grace that commanded respect. We will miss you Sandra. You hosted so many memorable family lunches and dinners, bringing together the few relatives that Winston had in Winnipeg. I admired your spirit in finding a new purpose after your career had ended, through no fault of yours. With your scientific knowledge you educated so many of us on environmental issues and their effect on health. You were our Martha Stewart, and you merged eastern and western cuisine to create tasty dishes served on your beautiful china. Your home and garden were always a joy to enter. Were it not for you, Lloyd and I would never have explored some of Manitoba's hidden gems in the Summer forays we took together.
