Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICK SAMAGALSKI Peacefully with his family at his side, Nick Samagalski of East Selkirk passed away August 20, 2018. Nick was born in Walkleyburg on February 1, 1931. He was predeceased by his wife Thelma. He leaves to mourn his children, Trevor (Peggy), Debbie (Jeff), Sandra (Jim) and Tracy (Ken); grandchildren, Tara (David), Derek (Selena), Tyler (Janelle), Bre-Ann (Jason), Matthew (Mandy), Erin (Joscelyn), Jordan and Jake; and four great-grandchildren, Kallie, Jack, Baylee and Bryn. Dad was born on the family farm just a mile from where he and Mom eventually purchased their own farm to raise their family and continue his dream. Dad also took great pride in being an Ironworker. He not only worked on the farm but also partnered in the purchase of Western Reinforcing. Dad and Mom both loved to travel and took many adventures together. Dad loved to spend time on his yard and garden and was always happy to share the fact that his potatoes were up first. Dad enjoyed getting together with his friends in Selkirk for their daily coffee session. We would like to say a big thank you to Dr. Brown and the wonderful staff at the Selkirk Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Memorial service will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. I was very saddened to hear about Nick passing away. I was always nice to see him at the clinic for his appointments. Before the appointment was over, we would swap stories about gardening.
