Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD HERBERT PEARSON On Monday, August 20, 2018, Ron passed away at the Ste. Anne Hospital, at the age of 75 years. Ron will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Kirby, of almost 40 years, brother Bruce, sister-in-law Pat (Dave), nephew Keith (Tara), nieces, Sara and Heather (Dean), great-nephews, Kelton (Mel) and Erik, great-nieces, Kyra and Kayla, great-grandniece Kinsley, and cousins, Dwight, Sharon, David, Viney, Audrey and Carol. He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Myrtle, and cousin Barry. Ron was born on September 25, 1942 in Toronto. He fondly remembered his time at Malachi, where he spent his summers doing what kids love to do at the lake. Both he and Bruce dreamt about the "camp" over the years and could still recall the smell of the smoke from the engine pulling the Campers Special. Ron grew up in Transcona and was a graduate of Transcona Collegiate in 1960. He began working at The Canadian National Railway in 1965 and retired in 1999. He and Kirby were married on September 8, 1978. They remained in Transcona until moving "to the country" (near Anola) in 1994. Ron, in his early years, was a member of the Youth Choir at Transcona Memorial United Church, later he was part of the Siberian Husky Club of Canada, St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program and the Lions Club. He thoroughly enjoyed his vegetable garden and everything dog related. Kirby would like to thank Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority (OakBank), thanks to Dr. Danelle Lanouette and the staff at Ste. Anne Hospital for all of the care given to Ron. A celebration of Ron's life will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Seasons Funeral Chapel, 576 Balsam Crescent in OakBank with Rev. Canon Helen Kennedy presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association or St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program. Condolences may be left at seasonsfunerals.ca

Always a ' hi honey', and a story that started with , 'm did you hear about???'. Miss seeing him tour the yard on the riding lawnmower , and going out to feed the birds, pail in hand. Remember him scouring headlines on his computer , searching for something of interest , and finding ,'' just crap'. Ron was not only dedicated to his own Huskies but to all Huskies and all dogs. His work as a co-moderator of the Manitoba Dogs List was appreciated as were his visits with his Huskies to those who needed a lift!
