PETER COUTURE (PISTOL PETE) November 14, 1944 - August 20, 2018 After a difficult, brief illness, we announce the passing of Peter Couture, surrounded by his family on August 20, 2018. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Hector and Germaine, and his brothers, Robert and Johnny. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Adeline; children, Lisa Couture (Boone Koniski) and David Couture; grandchildren, Natasha, AJ, RJ, David Jr. and Michael; and great-grandson Alexander; brothers, Dennis and Raymond as well as nieces, nephews, his best friends, Lorne Deurbrouck and Larry Coglan, as well as his many friends and colleagues from the Meat Industry. Pistol Pete loved to golf; in his retirement he was on the links seven days a week. He also loved going to the casino. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Grace Hospital and Riverview Health Centre for the kind and compassionate care provided to Peter, as well as to the many friends and relatives who visited while he was in the hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at St. Bernadette's Parish, 820 Cottonwood Road. Inurnment will follow in Holy Angel Mausoleum at Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pistol Pete may be made to Diabetes Canada, 401-1 Wesley Avenue, Winnipeg R3C 4C6.
