Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I just learned of Marlene’s passing and feel SO SO sad but also so fortunate to have had such a beautiful cousin. She was a few years older then I am and I adored her and admired her and loved any time I was ever able to spend with her. She was an amazing woman - her strength and positive attitude was inspiring. We lived too far apart to be able to spend much time together for which I will always be sorry. We communicated every so often in the last few years and am glad that we were able to tell each other how we felt about each other. My heart aches for Henry, her children and grandchildren - you no longer have this wonderful person with you BUT she will always be a part of you and I hope you will always remember how very much she loved you and enjoyed you. I send you, her friends and family all my love and deepest sympathy. All of us were blessed to have Marlene in our lives. She was one extraordinary woman who will be missed by many. • Marlene, I will always Love you as an Amazing Lovely Lady full of happiness with your beautiful smile. You are the best mother-in-law my daughter Tina could have and I know you loved my daughter and treated her as one of your own. Tina was very blessed by you and I feel blessed to have known you. Rest In Peace Dear Marlene❤️🙏 Dianne MacDonald. - Posted by: Dianne Mac Donald (Curtis mother in law and Tina Mother) on: Aug 25, 2018

  • Marlene had to have been one of the most energetic people I have ever known. Her energy and enthusiasm were infectious. You could not help but be uplifted and energized in her presence. I will always remember an evening in Palm Springs when we had gone for dinner and had to wait a considerable time for our table. A young couple already seated couldn't help but overhear us as we talked and laughed while waiting. When we were finally escorted to our table the young couple stopped Marlene and the young women said she had told her husband that when she got older Marlene was the type of older woman she wanted to be. What a compliment! - Posted by: Barb Friesen (friend) on: Aug 25, 2018

Rest in peace Marlene ... you will never be forgotten. - Posted by: Lois Forzley (old neighbour and friend ) on: Aug 25, 2018
