GEORGE CHARLES KONTUSIC November 20, 1951 - August 25, 2018 It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the sudden passing of George Charles Kontusic. Surrounded by his family, George left us at 6:06 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marian, his son Kristopher, his daughter Teresa, son-in-law Steven Gidilewich, his most prized possession his precious granddaughter Khloe, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his parents, Mary and George Kontusic, and his brother Walter. His passing will leave a void in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. A kind, loving, caring man who loved his family and respected his many friends and co-workers. George retired in July of 2017 and was enjoying his retirement, filling his time with the things he loved to do. Cremation has taken place and a gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life will take place on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Please join us and share some of your memories. The family wishes to thank the staff of SICU, GA3 stepdown and MICU for their efforts and care, and special thanks to nurse Meg of MICU for her care and compassion who was with us until the very end. George, I will miss you terribly but please know I will take care of the kids and we will all be fine, all my love... Marian.
